THE ORIGIN OF THE PROJECT ? 

We would simply look for a place where we feel good, an activity that is meaningful and above all a holy and human environment. After several years in the world of capitalist hotels and mass tourism, we wanted to rediscover our first passion: hospitality.

Met at the French international hotel business school, we traveled the roads of Asia, Australia, Polynesia and the Americas, looking for adventure, encounters and a peaceful home, we simply fell in love with the Azores and more particularly the people of Terceira. 

So we settled down in Terra-cha, home between land and sea in our guesthouse that we have completely restored.

 

WHERE DID YOU FIND THE AZORES ?

Right in the middle of the world map !

 Each of us imagined where we wanted to live. Although our wishlists were completely opposite, it wasn't that difficult to find a compromise.

Chloë: Sea, not too cold, lots of rooms

Maxime: Mountain, not too hot, large garden

We agreed on only one thing: not too far from our family and friends.

We positioned ourselves in front of the world map and looked at all the volcanic islands close to France.

In the Mediterranean? Too expensive. The Canaries? Too dry. Madeira? Already very touristy. What is this? the Azores?

We find out more: plane ticket, price, duration, cost of real estate, tourism... The destination meets all our criteria.

We therefore decide to buy all the books, guides on these islands and we watch as many documentaries as possible, reports on the economy, development, self-sufficiency of the islands... The more we learn, the more it becomes a obviously: that’s it! Let’s go visit!
