About Us
Casa dos Castanheiros is a charming guest house, completely renovated and fully equipped, located 10 minutes from the center of Angra do Heroismo and 5 minutes from the sea, in the parish of Terra-Cha.
Nature & Conviviality
After numerous trips from Asia to the Americas via Australia, looking for adventure, encounters and a peaceful home, we simply fell in love with the Azores and more particularly the people of Terceira.
So we settled down in Terra-cha between land and sea in our guesthouse that we have completely restored.
It is with great emotion that we open the doors to offer you a memorable experience.
Passionate about cooking, nature, diving and art, we will be happy to share our discoveries, our good addresses and our partners for activities such as scubadiving, boat tours, fishing, whales and dolphins watching, hiking, visits and electric bike & car rental.

Our guesthouse offers 3 spacious rooms that are perfect for sharing with friends and family. Each room is beautifully decorated and equipped with all the modern amenities to ensure that you have a comfortable stay.
Our rooms are convertible into double kingsize beds (180x200) or two separate beds, perfect for those who want to arrange their spaces according to their desires and needs.
The Guesthouse takes its name from the 9 chestnut trees that populate its garden among the many other citrus fruits and edible flowers.

We invite you to wake up gently while enjoying our homemade breakfast with local specialties, eggs and fruits from the gardens. Different products every day, adapted to your desires and needs.

The spacious shower room has everything you need for washing (towels, shower gel, shampoo, hair dryer).
The kitchen is open to the living room and has a laundry room with washing machine and ironing board. Regional delicacies await you upon your arrival. We also provide you with board games, games, chessboards, books, free Wi-Fi and SMART TV.
Yoga mats and diving masks are also available to enjoy the island's activities.
